Some photos I took this morning! (01_23_2020)

Post by sbm12405 » Thu Jan 23, 2020 5:28 pm

So this morning my wife came into the house and told me there was a hawk on the chimney of one of our neighbors. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos! Also attaching images of one of my cats that was just sitting pretty on his cat tree.

Wow those are awesome pics Sarah. It's really cool seeing hawks up close. I'm always amazed at how big they really are. I've been seeing them in town quite a bit more lately. Nice job!

Thanks! We can always tell when a hawk is nearby because all the other birds disappear. Lol

We tend to see quite a few in town. Didn’t see them as much though when we lived back home. My favorite though is the very few times that I’ve seen great horned owls in town!

Those photos are fabulous Sarah. I agree with Cheryl, your cat is beautiful + looks huggable.

LOL - Harvey is soft and cuddly. He is also a jerk. We have four cats. Lilly and Oscar for the most part are ok. Harvey and Felix though tend to pee on everything. So much so it can be hard to keep up sometimes. But hey if any of you guys want either of them I'll ship them to you!

I've only ever seen an owl in the wild one time. Going to try to post a pic of it here..

Awesome picture! I’ve only photographed one owl in the wild. It was a great horned owl. Unfortunately I had been taking photos of hummingbirds and my settings weren’t right so the shutter speed was too slow when he took off. I still love the series of photos I got though. This is one from that series.
